Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring Systems - Prams
PRAMS, the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System, is a surveillance based project of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state health departments of the United States. This Monitoring system was developed in 1987 but its benefits are controversial as not many pregnant women have benefitted from it.
PRAMS basically, collects state-specific, population-based data on maternal attitudes and experiences before, during, and shortly after pregnancy but in no way helps women that are on their way to motherhood. PRAMS surveillance currently covers about 83% of all U.S. births yet does not provide a follow up for those who undergo any sort of mishaps during the process.
Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System provides the state with data that is usually not available from other sources like midwife centers or maternity homes. This useful data can be manipulated on many levels, but for now, the government claims to use it to identify groups of women and infants at high risk for health problems, to monitor changes in health status, and to measure progress towards goals in improving the health of mothers and infants. However, the measures that should have been taken in more than two decades that have passed are not quite visible.
The data collected by PRAMS is used by medical specialists and researchers to investigate emerging issues in the field of reproductive health and by state and local governments to plan and review programs and policies aimed at reducing health problems among mothers and babies. Yet the success of this program is still questioned and what should be done for proper execution of health assessment of pregnant women is yet to be identified by the state.

10 Marijuana Legalization Anthems
For a movement of any origin, particularly political, a good music to rally around with and a good anthem to send out a strong message is very important. Just like other movements, marijuana legalization has musical messages too. The pot legalization activists have been aware of the fact that lacking music will handicap their cause. This sensitive issue of marijuana legalization which is highly debatable has its own marijuana anthems.
Although there is a precarious balance, since there is a difference between having a long whale song with thoughtful music to support the cause and having a nice mash-up of marijuana songs.
The movement for marijuana legalization does not need the insane clown Posse speaking up for it, rather catchy beats and real messages can draw attention of the audience just as much. Here are 14 tracks that we think, should be anthems for marijuana legalization movement, they present the best kind of argument for pot legalization.

How Money Defines Politics and Election Campaigns
This year’s US election campaign has really got the attention of those people who would never even dream of working the country, let alone visit it during the summer holidays. It is indeed quite surprising to see people from around the world being bothered so much about the fact that the Americans have been dragged to a point where they have no other option but to choose from either of the two evils. Whether they should go for an inexperienced person whose mouth is always spewing with some nonsensical statements or with someone who had quite a huge role to play in the sad, twisted and horrible horrible world we live in.
Indeed there are people on this planet wanting to go for Hillary Clinton only because they see Trump as a threat to the world’s population and perhaps the man who would bring the terminator franchise to real life. However, what people fail to see is that the lady who is failing to do the best impression of a mom waiting for the kids to come back from school and dish out some nice biscuits straight from the oven, is actually a different sort of devil – one that is always lurking in the shadows, playing people for their vices and striking the blow when everything falls into places where she wants it to fall.
However, another point that has slipped by us just like that girl from high school that we all wanted to woo away but ignored the best moment to do that is the fact that at the end of the day, it is money and a buck load of it that sets the tone for elections around the world.
The old adage, money can buy happiness is something that riles up most of us and becomes a precursor of debates about how life is more than just making money. However, power is what we all crave and some people lucky enough to be born with the proverbial golden spoon are able to enjoy that because they have the resources to back their power. And what better way to make sure your power is always on the rise by staying in tune with politics, riding coattails of people whose careers would serve your interests. And for this reason, every election campaign in the US sees a bout between two different people from a different set of political ideologies, vying for a place in the Oval Office, backed by men who shape the lives of so many people around the world without them being aware of it.
Imagine Hillary Clinton running her election campaign without wheeling and dealing with influential blue collared individuals at Wall Street. Indeed that would pave the way for Bernie Sanders to gain more traction and not be forced into making a deal with the devil. Trump on the other hand, is an entirely different species. Being a billionaire means that he can spend money however he wants to and because of that, he can run a sustainable election campaign. Now imagine if Trump didn’t have the finances.
Again, imagine how many times it was sweet old Benjamin that defined the future of America and that of the world.
Money isn’t everything but it surely can give you a chance to accumulate as much power as humanity’s insatiable thirst craves.
